Traditional Karate can be broken down into three tried and true training methods. KIHON, KUMITE & KATA.
We use these three methods as the foundation of all training practices just like most Karate schools in Japan and Okinawa have for over a century.
Kihon - A Japanese term meaning ‘fundamentals’.
Kata - A Japanese practice method based on routines. It is used in Japanese Tea Ceremonies, Japanese Theatre and most Japanese Martial Arts.
Kumite - A form of practice done with a partner. The practice is done with an exchange of attacks and defences either arranged or done freely.
