Kiyoshin Karate-Do was conceived while a Karate Sensei and his wife were spending the night at an Inn above a Kabuki theatre in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. The couple had been travelling through Japan on business when they had they idea to form a Karate style that was both focused on past traditions as well as modern needs. But the most important aspect they wanted to bring to the style was a focus on morality and honour. The Karate Sensei had spent his whole life training in Karate-Do and he had felt that these two concepts had lately been neglected within the art. Thus Kiyoshin Karate-Do was formed.

A few years later in 2018; the art had been brought to Australia and gave its first Black Belts to Aaron Vidakovic, Caitlin Lemmon, Geoff Lemmon and Daniel Musumeci. With this honour, The Kiyoshin Karate Association was officially founded and made Aaron Vidakovic their first leader.

The Association is in charge of keeping Kiyoshin Karate-Do up to standard and keeping its members satisfied with the quality of Karate training. It is also responsible for providing a safe and healthy training environment.
